I en omfattende totalinstallation vil den britiske kunstner Curtis Hylton i tæt samspil med Jonas Jensen forvandle galleriets rum til et sammenhængende, opslugende univers, hvor flora og fauna væves ind i et poetisk, næsten mytisk fortælling.
Begge kunstnere arbejder med et billedsprog, der, i såvel installation som maleri, udfolder sig i naturens særegne æstetik; et rum for fordybelse, undersøgelse og fredfyldthed.
CURTIS HYLTON | Soloudstilling
I det seneste årti har Curtis Hylton indtaget en markant position på den internationale urbane kunstscene med et særegent visuelt idiom, der forener naturens og dyrelivets formsprog i en raffineret sammensmeltning.
Hans praksis er dybt forankret i naturens æstetik og i vores iboende relation til den. Værkerne fremstår som komplekse konstellationer, hvor blomster, fugle og andre faunaelementer smelter sammen i organiske strukturer, vinger og kroppe flettet ind i kronblade i en poetisk og intuitiv balance.
‘FIRST FLIGHT’

In the lead-up to Christmas, KIRK Gallery opens its doors to a truly extraordinary experience.
In an extensive total installation, the British artist Curtis Hylton, in close collaboration with Jonas Jonas, will transform the gallery’s space into a cohesive, immersive universe where flora and fauna are woven into a poetic, almost mythical narrative.
Both artists work with a visual language that, whether in installation or painting, unfolds within the distinctive aesthetics of nature; a space for immersion, exploration, and tranquility.

Over the past decade, Curtis Hylton has taken a prominent position on the international urban art scene with a distinctive visual idiom that unites the forms of nature and wildlife in a refined fusion.
His practice is deeply rooted in the aesthetics of nature and in our inherent connection to it. The works appear as complex constellations in which flowers, birds, and other elements of fauna merge into organic structures, wings and bodies intertwined with petals, in a poetic and intuitive balance.
